Common questions

Answers for caring parents.

From first visits to sealants and sleep dentistry. If you do not see your question, call us at (905) 579-0709.

  • When should my child first see a dentist?

The Canadian Dental Association recommends a first visit before your child's first birthday, or no later than six months after the first tooth comes in.

  • What happens at my child's first visit?

We take it slow. The pediatric dentist looks at the gums and emerging teeth and answers parent questions. The visit is a friendly introduction to the team and the room. Cleaning or treatment is added only when it makes sense.

  • How often should kids see the dentist?

Every six months for most children, in line with the Canadian Dental Association. We may suggest a closer schedule based on family history or oral health.

  • What ages do you treat?

We care for children from infants through 18 years of age. Pediatric dentistry training covers every stage of growth.

  • Where are you located?

Our clinic is at 5-10 Meadowglen Drive in Whitby, Ontario. We serve families across Whitby, Brooklin, Oshawa, Ajax, and the surrounding Durham region.

  • What are your hours?

Monday to Thursday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Friday is by appointment. Closed Saturday and Sunday.

  • Do you accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan?

Yes. The Canadian Dental Care Plan is accepted. We are happy to walk you through coverage details on the phone.

  • Do you offer sedation for nervous children?

Yes. Options include nitrous oxide (laughing gas), oral sedation, and in-office sleep dentistry supervised by a medical anesthesiologist.

  • Do you treat tongue and lip ties?

Yes. We perform frenectomy procedures for tongue-tie and lip-tie to help your child eat, speak, sleep, and breathe better.

  • Do you bill insurance directly?
